This decaf is a rare and awaited novelty: a decaffeinated coffee from Baho Coffee by Emmanuel Rusatira. It has been processed using the Swiss Water method and comes from a blend of lots selected by our importing partner Semilla in Rwanda. This project aims to extend the commitment with Baho Coffee, one of our long-standing partners, by promoting quality coffees that otherwise could have been excluded from the market.
The lots sent to the Swiss Water decaffeination plant in British Columbia come from the washing stations: Akagera, Muzo, and Fugi. They include natural, washed, and honey coffees. This approach allows for the creation of traceable coffee, sourced from recently harvested coffees and paid at fair prices, while ensuring a nice consistency in the profile.
